Volunteer Center
With the flurry of activity that is going on regarding our New Year's Eve event, we are getting a lot of questions about what a volunteer center is and why Boise needs one. We would like to use this opportunity to paint a picture of what our vision is in 2010 and specifically answer those questions.

First in the Family
This is Laila's story. She tells of her Emirati family and then shares how her education changed her family's history.

This is the last week we will be sharing stories from the fantastic story night at the Plus or Minus 10 Gallerie. (Next month we will be featuring stories from the United Arab Emirates)
Today's story comes from one of the people we heard from last week, a Lebanese-American who shares about his crazy uncle and the Jamaican belt that he received one Christmas. (5 and 1/2 min)
Story Night: evolving identity
This has been a fun month of sharing the colorful stories of a "story night" that we had at the plus or minus 10 Gallerie in Beirut. Today's story highlights the many layers of Lebanese identity- and how it is still evolving.Story Night: Childhood Memories
he story night at the "Plus or Minus 10 Gallerie" in Beirut was a night full of stories. As we sat around the table, these ladies shared stories from their childhood- from remembering what it was like to have the lifelong goal of being a dishwasher to being left alone at the age of 14 for 25 days during the civil war. This is the first in a month long series from our "story night" at the + or - 10 Gallerie in Beirut, Lebanon. It was a night of sharing stories, memories and thoughts on life in Lebanon. We laughed as we listened to many stories, were amazed at others and we all enjoyed the community that was built as we sat around the table and listened.This week's story was one that was simply unbelievable- get ready for a laugh!
