The International Rescue Committee - Boise is always in need of volunteers to help as family mentors to our refugee families and to help in various capacities in our office. Take a look at www.theirc.org/Boise. Thanks!

July 5th -Boise Life Day Want to help us clean up after the downtown fireworks ? Join us from 8am-12pm to pick up trash and clean up Ann Morrison Park.
This is a perfect way for the whole family to give back and serve. Don't just be a Boise consumer, give back to the city we all love.

Please consider signing up for a volunteer shift this month.
We have over 80 openings for volunteers during the month of June!

May Shelter Statistics (from 4/25 - 5/25)

Average nightly 120-140
Total people served: 272
Bednights provided: 3988
New Volunteer Opportunity beginning in July: Ministry of Presence

Volunteers provide fellowship, conversation, compassionate listening with residents. Activities might include playing cards, chess, or reading to children in the family shelter or simply being present with another. Two volunteers can be scheduled for this each night. 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. A training session will be scheduled in early July for individuals who are interested. Please email for information on training dates.

upright refrigerator/freezer in good condition
bottled water (to distribute to residents to carry with them during the day - keep this in mind throughout the summer months)
Papertowels
Iced Tea Mix (in cannisters)
Coffee
Creamer
Hot Cups
Cold Cups
16 oz. soup bowls
Air freshener
Sweat pants/shirts
Clorox Cleaning Wipes
Plastic forks/spoons/knives
Small bottles of sun screen
Donations can be brought to Sanctuary during our open hours - 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm (best times) or email to schedule a time during the day.

Subject: Boise Friends of Sanctuary

An invitation to volunteer at the shelter on Friday night (May 22). I am shift manager that night (a rare happening) and would love to have your company! A way to try out volunteering if you've been thinking about it. Start time is 5:30 pm - end time ranges from 10 - midnight. It's fun (I promise)! Email me at info@interfaithsanctuary.org or via FB.
