Idaho’s New Years Resolution – The launch of a physical volunteer center. Over the past two years, the serve component of Boise Life has evolved into a need for a physical location of a community wide volunteer center. A volunteer center is a hub for both volunteers and nonprofits to partner and share resources. The volunteer center will match the volunteer needs of nonprofits with the skills and interests of individual volunteers. Since its creation in 2008, this organization has been the host of Boise Life Days, a monthly community service outreach which has been a catalyst in taking back Table Rock from a state of disorder from trash and graffiti to one of safety, enjoyment, and recreation. In addition BL has delivered dozens of bicycles to Boise’s refugee population and worked with the City of Boise on other various projects. It is our belief that through the physical location of the volunteer center, our community will be able to assess and react with the necessary people and financial resources to satisfy real needs in our community.
